Did He Sink It? Noonan!!! Nothing could distract Matt Rudolph or anyone in the group from hitting long drives to Pound Town and sinking putts like leaky boats in the harbor at Goon Island. Yes my friends... fun was had. There were divots, a little cursing, a few soda pops and much laughter during our 2nd Annual Fall Golf Mixer. The weather was fantastic, and we are already planning the 3rd version for next year. See all the great photos and get this on your calendar.
We caught up with the World Champion Slalom Silver Medalist and ADL supported racer before he set off for Austria for the 2024/25 Season.
We cooked eggs, skied powder, drank pisco sours and ended each day with a sunset that was more incredible than the last.
Hot off our trip from Chile, the winter stoke has taken over and we can't wait for next season. There is a bunch of new gear coming out that we think ya just gotta have... Read on to learn more about what's new, why we like it and why we think you're going to love it.

The Dolomites DreamTrip is filled with ridiculous views, incredible food and ski runs that wind from one beautiful vista to another. We aren't sure if we are there to ski or to eat. In fact, the skiing might be just an excuse or vehicle to get you to the next hutte where glasses will clink and forks will dig in.
We returned to Engelberg like big game hunters hoping to bag the infamous 5 freeride runs - from the mighty Steinberg, to the fickle Laub, challenging Sulz, the rare hidden Steintäli and the challenging descent of the Galtiberg - the BIG 5 are written in bold on our freeride bucket list! Engelberg is big. Chamonix-esque big. It's 4-6K lift and tram served vertical opens up so much different terrain you need a season to explore it all. We had a great group of long time ADLers on this trip and many of these folks had been on multiple trips.
February is Japow month, because that's when you typically have the best storm tracks. We came back to Japan in full force with two trips back to back. We got a storm to line upon arrival… a welcomed ADL tradition. We experienced the full menu of Japow from deep days, with daily onsens, high balls, katsu, karagi, gyoza and our favorite little deviled egg sandwiches from Lawsons to blue bird days with empty resorts all to ourselves. Each week got a little bit of everything and the final days in Tokyo brought bright lights and big laughs.
The Hahnenkamm is the craziest downhill race of them all and coincidently, it's always our biggest and craziest trip of the season. We had 14 fun skier race fans on this trip and they experienced the best Austria could throw at them - From 3 days of stellar racing on the Streif to an incredible VIP experience at the Night Race in Schladming with Franz Weber and the Kaiser himself - FRANZ KLAMMER!!!
The Wengen DreamTrip delivers every year and this trip was no exception. We had beautiful weather for the races, airshow and even a couple bonus powder days at Murren. The guests on the trip, like Peter & Tom Dodd above, had a blast representing the Stars & Stripes and skiing the big mountains. Everyone had an epic experience filled with fondue, raclette and other Suisse specialties of the Alps. The week went by too fast but having untouched powder on the last day sent everyone home smiling.
Join us at MISSION RIDGE for two fun filled days as we close out the 2024 ski season in pure ADL style. We will have a full quiver of skis for you to demo for free from ATOMIC SKIS and PEAK SKIS on the perfectly groomed slopes. We will be headquartered in the RV lot with our ADL tent, near chair 4 and will have a barbeque with brats and anything else you want to bring.
In this 2023-2024 Episode 1, the Team talks about the Birds of Prey, which will be the first speed racing of the season with two downhills and a super-G on Dec 1st, 2nd and 3rd! And to help them break down the course this week, they have special guest two-time Olympian and Stifel US Ski Team member Jared Goldberg, who is coming off his best World Cup season and a World Cup best 4th place at Kitzbuhel last season!
It's not every day you get to go to the World Cup opener in Sölden, Austria and watch the race with Bode and the whole PEAK SKI family, but then if you're an ADL Member on the 1st Annual Willy's Run... you did just that! We didn't waste the opportunity either. We picked Bode's brain on optimal binding mount positions, his favorite ski in the lineup and more.
e just returned from what can only be described as a top 3 ADL DreamTrip! The adrenaline-fueled week started with tours of the Porsche Museum and Factory in Zuffenhausen, Germany. Then we hit the Autobahn in 4 brand new Porsche 911 4S to Kitzbühel, where we visited the Hahnenkamm Start Haus and had lunch on the terrace of looking all of Tirol...
It was a super fun weekend with a crazy group of ADL golfers enjoying the dry, sunny weather on the Eastside of Washington. We played 18 at Highlander Country Club on Friday, followed by two more rounds on Saturday & Sunday at Desert Canyon Golf Club. Of course, there was some classic ADL BBQ and Shotskis!
This community event is the best in the area to buy and sell skis, snowboards, boots, clothing, winter accessories and more! Brought to you by our friends at Mountain to Sound Outfitters, this annual ski swap is a sure-fire way to clear out your overstuffed gear closet.
Erik Arvidsson is on the rise and he could use our help. We first met Erik in the Spring of 2021 at Worthy Burgers in South Royalton, Vermont. He had just graduated from Middlebury College and was a rookie on the US Ski Team. A chance meeting with ADL Member Tyson Rich connected him with the club. Two seasons later and Erik has worked his way up the World Cup rankings finishing 6x in the top 30 last season, along with a 9th place in the combined and 17th in the Men's Downhill at the 2023 FIS ALPINE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!
OCTOBER 13, 7-930PM MT BAKER COMMUNITY CLUB Join us for a special night with Professional skier, traveler & photographer Chad Sayers. Chad has spent over 25 years as a professional skier—competing, adventuring and experiencing ski culture in the far corners of the winter mountain world.
I grew up in the era of “Straight Skis”- pre-shaped era, they were generally longer... a Plus! With just a slight sidecut, my first ‘package ski set’ was Gresvig Super’s 205cm with lift cable bindings and screw in edges (mid-60’s.) A couple seasons later I was totally into Skiing. I splurged and bought my first main line skis, a pair of Head GS (black tops with yellow engraving & sidewalls! Oh, and the price was only $148.50!!) At the time, I thought they were the absolute coolest skis ever.
Tour the Porsche Museum & Factory then drive through the Austrian Alps in your own Porsche to the Dolomites and finish with the Men's & Womens GS WC Opener at Soelden!
